Strengthening inclusive entrepreneurship
The IYBA-SEED Senegal team took part in the Invest in Senegal 2025 Forum, organized by APIX, as a major initiative supporting the development of African entrepreneurial ecosystems.
This participation marks a strategic step in structuring a strengthened partnership between the two institutions to promote investment, foster economic inclusion for youth and women, and improve the business climate.
Positioning youth and women entrepreneurship as a lever for economic attractiveness and productive investment
Funded by the European Union under the Team Europe Initiative (TEI), the presence of the IYBA-SEED project at this nationally and internationally significant forum demonstrates its commitment to positioning youth and women entrepreneurship as a lever for economic attractiveness and productive investment.
Beyond institutional visibility, IYBA-SEED’s participation in the Invest in Senegal 2025 Forum helped highlight its actions to structure entrepreneurial ecosystems, notably through the mobilization of the 30 Entrepreneurship Support Structures supported by the project.
During the Forum, avenues for a structural partnership were discussed between members of IYBA-SEED and APIX, focusing on:
• The promotion of local and international investment in support of innovative SMEs;
• Support for inclusive entrepreneurship as a driver of sustainable growth;
• The creation of bridges between support programs and national business facilitation mechanisms.
A platform for advocacy
The Forum also provided a platform for advocacy to encourage the adoption of public policies favorable to entrepreneurship, particularly through the simplification of procedures, the development of local value chains, and the integration of women and youth into high value-added production chains.
By aligning with APIX’s priorities and Senegal’s ambition to become an investment hub, our project reaffirms its contribution to building a robust, inclusive, and competitive entrepreneurial ecosystem conducive to the creation of decent and sustainable jobs.
